Come back to the alma mater with care and affection. On the occasion of the 63rdanniversary of the founding of BJUT, alumni of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences came back to the campus on October 14 to reminisce about the past, look at the present, and look into the future. The five colleges of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences have made meticulous and thorough preparations to welcome alumni back to the university.
On the morning of the Return Day, Li Xiaozhuang, a graduate from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, participated in a discussion with the university officials. Chen Yitong, a visiting alumni representative, along with current students Wu Zhentong, Wang Siqi and Li Haoyu, participated in the school's anniversary show and jointly sang the songLove and Family.
In the afternoon, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences held an alumni meeting. An Zhefeng, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the Faculty, Chen Hao, Deputy Director of the Faculty and Chen Chen, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of the Faculty, heads of various colleges, returning alumni, and teachers and students, attended the meeting. Chen Hao presided over the meeting. Firstly, An Zhefeng extended a warm welcome to the alumni on behalf of the Faculty, and introduced the Faculty from six aspects: the overview of the Faculty, its construction of undergraduate majors, achievements of graduate cultivation, scientific research and base construction, student work, and international exchange and cooperation. He hopes that alumni would pay attention to the growth of the Faculty, and provide their views and suggestions on the Faculty development and talent cultivation. Subsequently, the teachers, the students and the alumni visited a photo exhibition themed of "Viewing Photos, Recalling Warm Memories". After that, they sat down for a talk on “Collaborative Education for Common Development”, during which alumni Guo Xiaoxu, Yin Zhichao, Gu Peiqing, Shen Xiaobai and Yin Mengquan provided constructive advice on the Faculty's talent cultivation.
At alumni meetings in the colleges, the alumni met their teachers and friends again after a long time apart. They shared their past learning experience and campus life and with faculty members and students. All participants talked and took photos with each other, enjoying a joyful moment together.
Finally, the 2023 alumni return day came to a successful end. We wish every alumnus could carry forward the spirit of the Faculty, take on social responsibility, bravely pursue their dreams, and make great contribution to our community!
